VidUKon pimp/VJ'ing for Vid Show

I haven't pimped this yet so I am now pimping it mightily! VidUKon is a brand new Vidding con being held in the UK and set up by the fantastic

halcyon_shift. It will run from the 24th Oct to the 26th Oct in Milton Keynes and will have everything from panels, vidshows tea and cakes. It should be a great weekend to meet all your fannish friends to talk/watch vids. I won't be going myself this year, unfortunately, but I am seriously hoping there will be enough numbers to make it viable for next as I really want to go. So this is where I pimp - you all need to go sign up! It'll be fun! Come take a holiday in Britain!

As I'm not going this year I thought I'd make myself useful in another way so I offered to VJ the "Made In The UK" Vid show.
"Doctor Who, Torchwood, Queer as Folk etc.
UK shows rock ! "

I have a fair idea of some of the vids I'd like to include but I am also looking for suggestions in case I've missed that perfect vid for this show. If you have any suggestions please comment away. I'm particularly interested in any vids for lesser known shows. I'd like a good mix. :)

No, thank you. Looking through recs for these was a distraction a needed. It was diffcult deciding on 2 DW vids and 2 Torchwood vids, but those are my personal favorites. There are so many.

There are so many LOM and A2A vids, but I don't actually watch the show, so I left those to more knowing people.

And yeah, I rec-ed you to yourself, but so what? :)

There is a wealth of fantastic DW, Torchwood, LOM and A2A vids, so many it's going to make the whittling down hard. I also know Skins, Hustle and Jekyll have been vidded - all great at showing what the Brits have to offer. Hmmm, what else is there?

No problem with you rec'ing Hex back at me, I just won't be adding it. Like I said to buffyann my priority is to get other vidder's vids shown plus, my Hex vids are pretty old now and we want the newer stuff!

I think Hex should be represented and I wouldn't see a problem with it being represented by your vid. Especially when I can't think of any others. I think mix of old with new would be good too.

Harry Potter is a movie and I was thinking more along the lines of TV shows... and I doubt I'll be adding any of my own vids to the list because there is just so many great vids to choose from there will probably be no room for me.

TV shows works definitely, it's one of those shows where there IS definitely a lot of choice, it's awesome, you can choose all the greatness.

You already mentioned Hustle, which was on my list of less-frequently-vidded shows (i only know of Zen's and Killa's vids).

And The Professionals, which while a classic slash fandom still has new vids and remasters of old vids.

I could *swear* that I've seen vid recs for Mi5/Spooks but there are none listed in the veni_vidi_vids delicious account. (Maybe I've just seen people wishing for MI5 vids?)

Judy (aka JAWS?) has a vid for The Prisoner to Hotel California, which I have on DVD. I can rip it for you if you want to see it.

I just found that Deejay made an RoS vid as well. I'm not sure if I have access to that. Hmmm.

Oh! I finaly found the Hitchiker vid. It's called Good Run of Bad Luck by Angel, and it's on the 2004 VVC DVD set, for the challenge show.

Oh awesome. So many to check out! I have found a good Spooks vid made by

fahrbotdrusilla but I could have sworn there were a ton more. Hmmm.

I have a pretty good mixture of vids to work with now but if any of the above vids turn out to be a better fit then I'll sub them in. It's a real shame the running time is so short because when it comes to it, you have to exclude so many good vids.
