I have become quickly hooked on "Carnivale" and "Life On Mars" and I was wondering if anyone knows of any good vids out there? If you do, please point me in the right direction. My search so far has been fruitless.

I definitely think it has great vid potential. There are some good visuals in there. I have a couple of ideas too but sometimes it is just nice to sit back and watch someone else's hard work.

I don't suppose anyone, like, emailed you a link to a Life on Mars vid, did they? Because I've been really, really hoping for one - I'm hearing about the show all over my flist, and vids are my way to figure out what this strange beast they call TV canon is all about.

You would not want us to suffer. You would not want me to be unable to figure out the fandom and the canon. You would not want many hundreds of fangirls to miss out just because the pimps didn't have the key vid component.

Arghh I have so much to do already but you are right, it's written in the stars. It's what I need to do, obviously. *grin*

Hi! Over here from [info]veni_vidi_vids, and I just so happen to have some links for you. Hopefully, they'll help in your quest for Carnivale and Life on Mars, and aren't too dated:

First, I'd check out [info]lifein1973, the Life on Mars community. Vids should be in their memories section.

My personal fave that I have to rec is Dream On by Severa. Sam-centric, set to Aerosmith's "Dream On". It's a fantastic song choice, and as a Gene fan, I totally love the bits with Gene beating up Sam.

And Carnivale:

[info]pinkocracy, who did "In the Shadows" for Carnivale also has Justin/Iris vid to Live's "I Alone". I can't seem to find it on her site or journal, but I have a copy downloaded onto my computer. If you'd like to take a look, I can upload it onto Sendspace for you.

My girl Kate has done a bunch of Carnivale vids - including one to Bonnie Tyler's "Holding Out for a Hero" that we screened at CarnyCon. Evanescence's "Missing" is one of her brilliant Justin/Iris vids, and "Mother Revolution" is probably my favorite of all (it's a Sofie piece). You can find her vids, along with a few others (not as good, but YMMV) here
